WNCF energy assistance is distributed in collaboration with Partner Agencies throughout Illinois.
WNCF benefits customers between 200% - 300% of Federal Poverty Level (FPL) or 80% of the county’s Area Median Income (AMI).

For weatherization and bill payment assistance. Note: Income will be verified and families must show proof of income. A family's monthly gross income must fall between the below ranges, based upon family size, to qualify.

Please note the following in regards to obtaining financial assistance from the Energy Assistance Foundation:

A Matching Customer Payment within the last 45 days is required to receive energy assistance.

Account balance must be $1,500 or below (including payment plan amounts).

Account must be ACTIVE. No written-off accounts will be considered.

The Energy Assistance Foundation Program provides pledges for those customers in crisis and is meant to be utilized as a one-time, not on-going, bill payment solution.
